beefin it up

Anyone have any suggestions to beef up the tone of an Epiphone Jack Casady? I love them as is, but if I could get anything to give it a little bit more oomph (a la a thunderbird) that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

That's a pretty vague question, but my first reaction is that you need different strings. What is lacking in the tone of your JC?

An EQ would help you emphasize frequencies, but I'd honestly worry more about the EQ section of my head first. I own a Casady and it is one beefy, thumpy bass!!!

Preamp, EQ, bass boost of some sort... try different things. Not sure how you want to beef things up, but those are some places to start to get the sound you want.

A response from the OP would beef things up.
