So, I sold my POD and bought the first single pedal of many (or several at the least), the Boss ML-2 Metal Core distortion. I love it, super smooth with lots of power and attack. I also bought a 1-Spot power supply. I definitely want a compressor, and I really like the sound Dan Briggs has (Between The Buried And Me). I'm pretty sure he just uses the compressor on his Sunn 300 (like the Fender) which is a dual band. That sound and the lowest amount of noise possible are what I'm looking for. I'm also looking into a pedal tuner, but other than that am unsure if I need anything else (aside from a pedal board).
So, recommendations would be awesome of you! Thanks.

if i may recommend some effects, i would defiantly say to get a chorus pedal of some sort.
i really like my boss ceb-3, but im sure there are better ones.
also i find delay to be really fun, but thats just me.
and +1 on getting a big enough pedalboard to expand with, im glad i did, because i have gone in out of effects. ive gone from like 10 pedals, to 5, back to 10 and around again. so you never know where you GAS will take you.
have fun with your effect adventure! |

It's all a matter of taste, but it's best not to think too hard about gear or you'll GAS something fierce. |

My favorite effect was delay, so started with that, then a flanger because I wanted something that kept my signal the same just altered the basic sound (modulation is that called?). Then I got x pedal because it's cheap but good, then a filter because I need to be more funky, etc.
A never ending road |
