Behringer Bass V- Amp Pro

Some gigs I do call for some effects. I currently use the Behringer V-Amp (for guitar), bypass the amp modeling and just use the effects. Problem is, it robs some of the natural low end I would normally get out of running straight through my bass rig. I am considering the Behringer Bass V-Amp Pro and wondered if I would have better luck, since it's designed for bass. Anyone have any experience using the Behringer Bass V-Amp Pro? I could use some feedback. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks,
Steve

Had one for a while a couple years back and never had a problem with tone sucking on the low end. Gave it up because because it was, how should I say, too rinky dink in its construction to rely on for everyday wear and tear.

Thanks for your response Meskel. Your comment on the low end was helpful. Did you have the rack mount unit?

I have one right now. It seems to have developed a cult following around here, myself included. I'm not sure what Maskel means by Rinky Dink, the enclosure is solid metal and from what I can tell it can take a beating.

Sure, maybe it's not rugged enough if you were using it as a kickball, but let's be real here.

Mine holds low end, and I'm sure the features of the V-amp you have now speak for themselves. If you're worried about QC, buy it new with a warranty. Sure, maybe you'll get a dud, but I've gotten no troubles out of mine.

I used one for awhile. Great amp modeling sounds, but I found it too unreliable for gigging. It would choose the most inopportune times to act flakey.

As for the said cult Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro "Club"

Since I've really learned to use mine I get all I need from this unit alone. There are only 2 "problems":
1 - Distortion emulation sucks a bit but you can always use the guitar amp simulation to get the harsh distortions.
2 - No simultaneous effects except chorus and delay that can be used at the same time.

Thanks to all "Club" members for weighing in. I'm going for it and will post my experience with it soon!
