Behringer BOD100

Hey guys, I got more money for another pedal! Unfortunately, the only pedal I can find cheap enough for me is the Behringer BOD100, bass overdrive! If anybody has it, do you know if its possible to create fuzz witht his? or is it only good for distortion?

Thanks guys!

Look up reviews/opinions on the Boss ODB-3. The BOD100 is a copy of this pedal, except with cheaper construction and more noise. (not Behringer-bashing here, I've had 2 behringer pedals break on me when they were practically new)

Look for a used EHX Little Big Muff. If you get a deal, you can get one for ~$50.

Buy used - you can get deal on something decent if you keep your eyes open.

Neither of them are fuzz pedals. What sort of sound are you wanting?

I know, I would love a big muff, I just want an extremely distorted sound kind of like a 1v P-P signal straight through silicon diodes If you know the sound, pretty much a square wave I suppose through a slight high pass filter! If you know muse, the Hysteria sound... Just a bit more distorted (Im in a pretty heavy band lol)

I love Muse, especially Hysteria. That sound came from blend one clean channel, one chanel with a Muff, and a third with an Akai deep impact.

If you want the Hystera sound, the foundation is a Muff or a Muff derivative. The Bass muff should be perfect for this, but if you want more gain there are other options. My earthbound audio supercollider sounds amazing playing Hysteria but it is more expensive. Check out this youtube video of hysteria through a bass muff and see what you think.

Hysteria bass muff

Try a guyatone TZ-2. Not only does it sound great, it's really affordable and you can pick them up used for next to nothing.

I've heard nothing but bad things about behringer. if you want a bass distortion, I'd say save you money for either a digitech bass driver or a boss odb-3. personally, I like the digitech bass driver for it's fizzy and metallic sound. definitely a good choice for a bass distortion if you play metal.
