I have the us600 and works really well. Behringer got a bad name for their effects pedals, I think mostly because they are cheap. They are built from plastic so they might break, but as for their sound they are copies of boss pedals and they sound pretty good. I didn't know if i really wanted a pitch shifter and i wanted to experiment with one and didn't want to pay for the expansive boss pedal so i bought the behringer. Since i bought it i also played with the boss pitch shifter with my bass and i don't feel like i should buy the more expansive boss pedal. If the behringer will break i will probably buy the boss pedal but as long as it works i'm happpy with it. It sounds good to my ears.
For the sound - great value for the money.
For how its built - well... you get what you pay for... plastic.

just picked this thread up when looking to see if anyone else was using this pedal on bass, or even at all.

i've been using it for ages on my board now & on the tremolo setting (or whatever setting 6 is, not got it in front of me right now) is awesome - chuck it after a dirt box & the climbs & dives you can get are superb. try setting it on slow climb + dirt box & you can rev the hell out of your bass - great bit of noise, the boys & the girls all love it. chuck a BSW or similar before the dirt box & things get even better. for the ultimate in weirdness chuck it in a floop & play it maxed out up 2 octaves - you get this really lo-fi organ-type sound that is still pretty musical & sounds great used here & there.

caveats apply tho - i wouldn't ever run it without a dry signal in parallel to keep the floor. & the 'harmonist' & other functions are dreadful. i've heard they're pretty awful on a geetar too. just use the regular pitch shift features (1 & 6) & it's top dollar. as ever tho, keep it tasteful.

as for the usual stuff about behringer build & reliability, it gets stomped on hard & often in its role as a whammy-type box...i've had it for about 18 months & no sign of failure yet.

all in all a massive bargain at the price & something to weird the board out further without selling the kids etc.
