behringer v tone

has anyone tried the behringer v tone bass pre amp. im thinking of adding to my rig any thoughts or suggestions

seems ok from youtube videos but i dont think it would really hold up

could be better than i think, but behringer is behringer to me so im not exactly neutral

I've used my friend's before. It was ok. He still has it, no reliability issues with his. Personally I like my Zoom B2 better, but that's a personal preference thing.

I have one of these and I really like it. Gives me a little flexibility without altering my basic sound. Goose the "Drive" knob and you'll get some distortion. I usually use it to give my highs a slight bump because I'm too lazy/cheap to buy new strings at the moment.
Bear in mind that yes, it is pretty cheap looking/feeling and I'm sure there are better DIs out there, but this was what I could afford.
