| | | | +1 to the Mesa I am pretty sure he uses the BB750 from mesa either that or the titan. The Overdrive channel on that amp is really versatile and I think can get darn close to the distortion he is using. Combine that with bass and playing technique. There might be a few other effects in his overall repitoire, but the Big Block gets some really heavy od/distortion. |

| | | | The breakup from orange tube guitar amps when he recorded ACLOTM is a lot different than the breakup on the Bass-Drive. Any suggestions for a pedal that can get close to this? Leech and Megalomaniac would be good references for this tone. OLC makes a pedal called the orange peel, but I'm not sure if it can do low-gain. |

I like the old version too. its incubus though, I'm gonna like it whatever he does with it
definitely puts on a great show though. saw them last year with puggy and it was mind-blowing... Mike and Ben traded solos in the middle of 'sick sad little world' and it was hard to tell when the bass stopped and the guitar started... phenomenal playing, from both of them.

but you all seam sure of yourselves, so I must have been wrong
I don't like the new stuff as much as the old so I never got into his playing. I love the old bass player though. I have no idea what is name is but he is pretty sweet
