Best _______ Pedal?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I thought it would be interesting to make a thread where people share their favorite pedals. It'll help give people an idea of what other people are using, and maybe help people decide on a pedal.

Tell us your favorite:

Therefore, this is a perfect idea. That way people don't have to sift through hundreds of threads. I did a search, there really isn't a thread like this.

This is going to end up as a "what everybody owns" thread. I don't see how it can be consolidated especially since everyone plays different types of music with different types of styles that will sound different with the exact same pedal (Depending on their goals).

So...pretty much every thread ever on this board...good observation. Guys, really, if you don't like the idea, don't post in the thread, it's not a hard concept. I don't go into McDonalds just to tell them I don't like them. I just pass on by.

Actually, no. Many will ask for more information before answering "what's the best overdrive pedal" as tonal goals are important. Including, "What's your buget?" I'm sure you've seen them...

I did. It's the same.

For example... My favorite delay pedal is the TC Electronics Flashback. Why? Because it's the only one I've ever owned or played. I'm not sure how that's going to help anyone.

I don't mind rehashing since mine do change every now and then:

Flanger: EHX Flanger Hoax
Chorus: Boss DC-2
Delay: EHX Deluxe Memory Boy for analog, Boss DD-20 for digital
Fuzz: fOXX Tone Machine clone for straight fuzz, Copilot Orbit for wacked-out craziness
Overdrive: Tech 21 Leeds
Filter: EHX Bass Micro Synth
Synth: ditto, although the Behringer BSY-600 is so damn useful
Other: Boss SL-20 Slicer and Digitech Space Station - both are soooo fun to play.

Why not? Although still not sure on some...

Flanger: the jury is still out for me
Chorus: Analogman, T-Rex Sweeprr
Delay: also still not settled (but I don't use a lot of delay anyway)
Fuzz: Pickle Pie B
Overdrive: Pickle Pie B
Filter: MXR Bass Envelope Filter
Synth: I am trying to figure this one out.
Other: Line 6 M5 (or 9 or 13) Bass Octave stomp

Flanger: Not for me
Chorus: Not for me
Delay: Not for me
Fuzz: Not for me
Overdrive: SansAmp BDDI (but I'd take an Aguilar Tone Hammer DI)
Filter: MXR M82 Bass Envelope Filter
Synth: I'm interested...
Other: MXR Bass Octave Deluxe is on my wish list. Also, I love my MXR M87 bass compressor--never leave home without it.
