I hate velcro for the most part. Hair and carpet lint gets stuck in it. And I don't really want to strip the nice rubber cover off of my EBS Multicomp.
Is there some type of alternative? Well other than tie wraps.

Works with pedals which have screw-on base plates. Deconstruct a cheap bike chain (I believe the best way is with a dedicated bike chain tool), screw one end of the flat metal part of a link onto the bottom of your pedal using the existing screws, and the other onto your board of choice.
Pros - permanent, looks cool, non-velcro
Cons - permanent and therefore not for constant rearrangers, doesn't work for some pedals (Dano food series and Guyatone micro series spring immediately to mind but I'm sure there are plenty of others). There are ways around this problem (using velcro for one or 2 pedals, drilling holes in dano baseplate etc).

It looks like it will eventuall trap some hair and dirt, but not as bad as velcro does.

I did something similar with plugs to power a rack. |

edit: This is the industrial strength **** though. It holds very very well.

Im going to mount them sideways facing outwards. | Totally off topic, but I've got an ol' TS-5 Ibanez Soundtank and for my money it has the worst bypass of anything I've ever used. Are you sending your direct signal through it? Have you considered a bypass looper? Not trying to diss your gear, just recalling how much of an improvement it made to get that guy out of my clean chain...

I don't have a pic, but i use insulated solid core wire, 18ga. You can buy it by the foot at home stores. I just strip off the ends, bend it to fit in the profile of the effect, then bend eyelets in the stripped ends and run screws into the board. They never come off, it's just that field changes in pedal order would be a pain. But i've never had to do that so it's not an issue.
I like the idea of the elastic band and eyehooks, i might have to give that a shot.

Mainly because my tone still rocks anyways. hehe
I always notice a difference plugging straight in than through my pedalboard, but it doesn't really bother me... because my tone is still pretty damn good IMO.

The powerlead has been modded to improve its bass response and i think that included the bypass but it was a while ago, and i dont think the bypass was all that bad before anyway.
The ce-2b bypass is much worse, with very noticable bass rollof. I have to change eq if i put it in or out,and its a bass pedal maybe mine has a problem?
