Octave
Fuzz
Env Filter
Chorus
If you're using the Sansamp for distortion, I'd put it before or after the fuzz, if it's for EQing, I'd put it last.

Filter (will track best here)
Fuzz (I prefer fuzz after filters, but many prefer fuzz before)
Chorus (typically last...though I'm not a chorus user...but I do love Flanger, which can be similar in many ways)
Sansamp (even if you don't usually use it as a DI, it's great to be able to in a pinch without rearranging your board after your amp blows up, etc...)

PS - Where's your tuner!?!?!? (I always put mine last in the chain, but most folks prefer first) |

Overdrive (I like this first so you can take advantage of the touch sensitive nature of a good OD)
Chorus (just makes sense here)
Compressor (I like comp last as a finishing touch, but you may use it differently)
Tuner (I like tuners last to mute the whole chain in case you have any noisy pedals)

Tuner > Compressor > Tubescreamer > amp
but the Tubescreamer is only turned on in specific songs, in which the compressor is turned off so the order between those two is irrelevant. I put the tuner first cause I use it as a mute pedal between songs/breaks/whatever, but what would be the difference if I use it first or last in the chain?
Also, Iīm gonna get an Mxr m80 Bass DI+ soon which will probably replace the Tubescreamer, and it would also send a DI feed to the PA when needed so I would want it after everything to send the effected signal and be able to mute even that send with the tuner |

When I had a pedal tuner I placed it last since my old amp didn't have a mute. Helpful when you need to do a last minute board fix live. Now I have a headstock one and use my ears more.

Also, depending on the place, your other pedals (even ones that aren't usually noisy) can get noisy if the electrical system is a little sketchy, etc... Having the tuner at the end mutes not just your bass, but all your other pedals, too.
I understand why people usually put it first, and I agree in theory that having the tuner first provides the cleanest and strongest signal to the tuner from your bass, but in practice I have never seen a quality tuner pedal that couldn't handle being further along in the chain (my Pitch Black is super quick and accurate at the end). The truth is that my OC-2 needs much more help in this regard than my tuner does!
One very good reason to put the tuner first is if you need it to buffer your signal through a bunch of true bypass pedals or a very long cable afterward. This is a non-issue for me because I have a 'pre-amp' pedal first that already buffers my signal, but it is an issue for many others.

I like mine directly after the bass, using it as a preamp, I get better result this way. It react differently may be because of the impedence changing if used after other pedals (buffer) like the boss one... |
