Best chorus for rock

I am looking to get a chrosu stomp box to go in my signal chain for a song called She (listen at www.iamnoone.co.uk to hear it).

Basically I want to run it after my OD pedal to give a thick churning colourful sound. My Digitech BP80 really sucks for this.

What is the best chorus pedal for rock? Should I use a flange instead?

I didn't make it very far into the song, but it doesn't sound like chorus to me. Sounds more like a fuzz effect on bass.

Maybe that's why he's looking to buy a chorus pedal?

Thought he was trying to duplicate the sound on the song that he mentioned.

I see two problems.

First off, there's no chorus at all on the bass in "She". I hear ambient effects like delay and reverb applied on the other instruments, but the bass is 100%overdrive.

Second, there isn't a "best" chorus pedal for rock... there are a variety of chorus pedals used in pretty much every genre. Some people prefer something mellow, and others want a bright chorus sound. Some prefer a light chorus, others a lush and deep one. It narrows down to personal preference.

Check out the Boss CE-5 and/or the EHX Clone Theory. Both popular chorus pedals around these parts that go for a fair price.

Actually, i am the bass player for I Am No One, so i played that part. live I have been playing a Digitech BP80 pedal running fuzz before chorus. I am trying to get away from the tone sucking multi effect, and get a lushus sound from a new chorus pedal after my Ibanez PD-7

I've been playing around on my POD XT with some modulation effects after fuzz. IMHO, fuzz drowns out any chorus effect and flanging is too much. But a little delay did fatten up the sound more than chorus. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
