Mostly got it for the odd occasions when I play guitar, but works great with bass as well. One of these days I need to do a side-by-side with my brother's Carbon Copy. I really like the EQD pedals and at this point my whole 'guitar' board is their stuff: Dirt Transmitter>Dispatch Master>Speaker Cranker. All sound great with bass.

I used to have a carbon copy that i loved. traded up for a dispatch master and couldn't be happier. both would be cool, but i'm not that eccentric.

It's pricey, but I use delay all the time, so I figured it was worth it. I used to use a TC Electronics Flashback, and it was great too. Small, cheap and it sounded great!

| | | | Im actually thinking about selling the rest of my old pedals. ive been using the pod hd as an effects processor without the amp modeling. I run it with my sans amp RBI. I also use it with amp modeling for practicing at home with headphones and as an interface to record song ideas. I use delay mainly for two hand tapping parts. It's also good for just about any effects you would use. I use delays, reverbs, chorus, flange, pitchglide (whammy) it even has a looper you can control with the foorboard. I have a real whammy 4 and it tracks better but It's nice to select a patch instead of tap dancing on a bunch of pedals. |

I had the Jr, which was great, but upgraded to the 6 knob version when Hello Music had them for about the same price of a new Jr. It's a nice analog sounding pedal that can do more than repeats. You can get some nice ambient sounds from it and it stood out in the mix of my heavy rock band on the slower passages. That being said, I'd love to try the Catalinbread Echorec. |

If you want something more fancy there are all sorts out there, digital, analogue, various tape emulations etc.

It even changes the Delay to a 3-Tone-Chorus. And it really works with a smartphone app through the pickups to change the programs.
What I find a bit tricky is to set the speed of the delay while playing for 2 seconds and pressing the footswitch. But soundwise the TC Electronics convinces me - And I like the true bypass. |

A lot of the analog delays cut too much highs and end up getting really muddy. Thus the delay offerings in multi-FX often kick butt with bass. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
