I really like my Earthquaker Dispatch Master. Mostly got it for the odd occasions when I play guitar, but works great with bass as well. One of these days I need to do a side-by-side with my brother's Carbon Copy. I really like the EQD pedals and at this point my whole 'guitar' board is their stuff: Dirt Transmitter>Dispatch Master>Speaker Cranker. All sound great with bass.

yeah... big +1 for the dispatch master. I used to have a carbon copy that i loved. traded up for a dispatch master and couldn't be happier. both would be cool, but i'm not that eccentric.

I got the subdecay echobox a few weeks ago and I really like it. I actually like the modulation it has. Very chorusy sounding, way better than my t-rex bass sweeper. But that's the only delay I've messed with so far.

I use a Strymon Timeline simply because it's one of the greatest new delay pedals. It's pricey, but I use delay all the time, so I figured it was worth it. I used to use a TC Electronics Flashback, and it was great too. Small, cheap and it sounded great!

I'm using a Deep Blue Delay clone (Sea Urchin) right now. It handles low end really well, sounds very pleasent and the controls are simple and easy to find sweet spots.

I don't use delay a lot for bass, but I really really like using my Catalinbread Echorec. Man is that a cool pedal. I guess it's not exactly a delay pedal, but still.

Im actually thinking about selling the rest of my old pedals. ive been using the pod hd as an effects processor without the amp modeling. I run it with my sans amp RBI. I also use it with amp modeling for practicing at home with headphones and as an interface to record song ideas. I use delay mainly for two hand tapping parts. It's also good for just about any effects you would use. I use delays, reverbs, chorus, flange, pitchglide (whammy) it even has a looper you can control with the foorboard. I have a real whammy 4 and it tracks better but It's nice to select a patch instead of tap dancing on a bunch of pedals.

Here's another vote for the Earthquaker Devices Disaster Transport. I had the Jr, which was great, but upgraded to the 6 knob version when Hello Music had them for about the same price of a new Jr. It's a nice analog sounding pedal that can do more than repeats. You can get some nice ambient sounds from it and it stood out in the mix of my heavy rock band on the slower passages. That being said, I'd love to try the Catalinbread Echorec.

I'll throw in another vote for a DD3 (or any of the DD line) if you want a simple, basic delay with a couple of options.

If you want something more fancy there are all sorts out there, digital, analogue, various tape emulations etc.

I've had an Eventide Timefactor for a while and have been consistently satisfied with it. TONS of different sounds in that guy. I'm not sure how it compares to the Timeline though...

I love the TC Electronic Flashback. And as another poster mentioned above, Tone Print is a nice thing to have. It even changes the Delay to a 3-Tone-Chorus. And it really works with a smartphone app through the pickups to change the programs.

What I find a bit tricky is to set the speed of the delay while playing for 2 seconds and pressing the footswitch. But soundwise the TC Electronics convinces me - And I like the true bypass.

I have to go with the DD-3! I haven't owned any other delay although I've tried the Carbon Copy!

I like my T.C Electronic Nova Delay IB modified. The audio quality is excellent. The dry tone of low frequencies is very well respected. The headroom is also excellent.

I have the Boss DD7. same thing as the DD3, but add the analog mod which I prefer from the digital, also the reverse (not my thing), modulation that can be dial as a chorus and finally the hold which is the coolest tool to have fun by your own...

I always prefer a fairly clean digital delay would be most ideal. A lot of the analog delays cut too much highs and end up getting really muddy. Thus the delay offerings in multi-FX often kick butt with bass.
