i haven't been in this particular forums part much lately, but if it's like what it used to be, isn't this frequently talked about? Maybe not RHCP exactly but def. funk. I'ma say it first - DOD FX25

If you're talking about the envelope filter (sir psycho sexy, power of equality) then any current envelope generally works.
i personally have an electro-harmonix micro q-tron.
the EH enigma is amazing as well. as well as DOD FX25B is good too

it's an effective pedal for its size. it took awhile to figure out the best sounds/settings...overall: GOOD funky envelope

why not? my fx25b and musicman gets right on it.
btw flea and i where born on the same year and day, so i know funky!!

whatever pedal you pick a bass with a pickup near the bridge will help your sound too.

whats the difference between dod fx25 and dod fx25b? does the 25b just have a blend knob? which one is better?

B=bass and it has more bass, responds better to bass signal and is more sensitive in the lower registers.

I thought the B was for the blend knob ???

Even better if its for bass. Anyhow, just bought a FX25B on the bay and expecting it Friday. Feel like I'm 8 on christmas eve..

Maybe my memory is shot, but the Flea tone was never an envelope filter to me.

How come nobody's said 'compressor'?
