Best Looper

Sign in to disble this ad
I know there are plenty of posts on this, so could someone please point me to the most recent poll, thread, etc. that profiles the best loopers available - preferably made in Japan or Germany.

Thanks all.

There really is no "best" it all depends on what you want to do with it. Why not lay out your plans for a looper so we have an idea of what to suggest?

The thing about the word "looper" is it can mean one of two things: Either a phrase sampler, as in a pedal where you record short passages and "loop" them to play on top of. Or a pedal that acts as a bypass looper, where all of your effects are connected to it and you can activate or bypass them at the press of a button.

Once we determine which one you're asking for, we can give better suggestions. I only know about phrase samplers. That said, I don't think there are any that are made in Germany, and probably the only ones that are made in Japan are by Boss. Even that, I'm pretty sure they're actually built in Taiwan. I'm assuming you live in either Germany or Japan. If its Japan, I imagine you would be able to find Boss or Digitech products relatively easily (but I've never been so I wouldn't know).

Personally, I think the Boomerang III is the best looper, and that's from a very biased standpoint. I own one, but having tried out a few other ones, I find the Boomerang III to be pretty user friendly and easy to learn, while still being very functional.

+1 to both above. More specific questions get better and more specific answers.
