For modern rock I'd go with some kind of OD..... actually one of the sansamps (bassdriver/paradriver/vtbass) might get you great tones (aka big tube amp sound) for each of those 3.
JMO, but I think a full on multi would be a little overkill for those genres... |

I like the interface on the GT better than the Korg (the Korg is actually more intuitive but I like the way the GT displayes info.), but I like the fact that you can edit the Korg's presets through a computer. I personally don't like the ME-50 (never tried the 20), its too limited and with the GT-6's price lowered from $350 to what it is now I don't see any reason to get it. You could also probably find a used Line 6 pod xt live for around $300.
Really, you should try out as many of them as you can find. They each have their strong and weak points.

Mine's the cheaper one without the expression pedal, which I really can't imagine using. If your budget is up to $300, get the B2 for $100 and spend the other $200 on a tank of gas

Thank to the forum, I found out that I could use the POD as a pre-amp before a PA amp. Really good idea.
I`m thinking about trying it with a powered PA speaker. It could make a perfect, compact, versatile set-up, I think ?
Anyone doing that ? What kind of speaker would be good ?
Thank you all ! |

| | | | Boss VF-1...is there any active self-help groups out there!?
I am not a tweeker and all I ue on this thing is some Chorus and Flanger. I know it can do more, but I wish there was a listing of suggested settings.
Actually, the best thing I like about the unit is it actually has a screen that you can read without deciphering symbls, letter or numbers!
I mean how hard is it to have a screen you can customize the title of your effect. Seeing "chorus" is much better than scrolling through "C45"...ha.
Seriously, any help on the VF-1 or places to look other than Yahoo would be great.

That's what I should have bought instead of the AX3B. I'm craving all the cool stuff now......
