TC Electronic make some pretty cool stuff. I have used a G System with Guitar.

I normally steer pretty clear of Multis though, so my experience with bass is pretty limited.

No Digitech?!

They make more multi-effects for bass than just about anyone else.
Anyway, I'm still digging my old BP8.

Eventide is the best IMO. Lexicon comes in second, although TC overtakes them at the lower price points.

I listed the ones that make huge effect processers and/or rack effect for bass that I know of
, I don't really know if digitech do that kinda thing

At the lower price point I like the Korg Ax3000b. Lots of solid usable stuff and only $200. With no price cap probably The Eventides. Unless you're looking for distortions.

Boss ME-50B. Not saying its the greatest but it gets you 85% of the way there. About a third of the options / effects are totally worthless to me but the standard stuff (compressor, flanger, phaser, reverb, etc.) works pretty well. Still looking for the "Jaco" button.

I voted boss cus you can have the effects in any order, and the latest GT/B has a looper. That, and the fact that its affordable put it on top IMO.

Tho I don't imagine myself getting into multies ever again

I am mainly a Zoom user but also use a Digitech BP8 for recording and some gigs.

Korg used to be the absolute best for a long time.
Nowadays Boss is ahead and Zoom is quickly gaining ground.

+1 for Eventide. Hands down best multis out there.

Favorite that I've used/own is the Korg Kaoss Pad 3 if it counts.

I'm loving my Zoom as well, mostly for the amp models and drive - very good tone from them. Other effects in there are pretty OK. I'm not sure about the accuracy of the tuner but it works and the tracking is amazingly fast. I can slide on the string and the tuner reports all the notes correctly. There's a nice basic rhythm drum machine to practice on as well.

The bad: I can't find any usable synth sounds from the zoom, and the compressor produces clicky sounds when you play!! - that's bad.

I would be intereted to try a Lin6 Pod XT LIVE and a Boss GT-10b

Another Zoom guy. Easy, sounds good to my bad ears & cheap. I'd love to find a deal on an old Ibanez UE-405(?)- the all-analog 80s 'multifx' with(IIRC)chorus, compression, EQ & delay.

I went with the zoom. I had a 708BII (I think?) and it was noisy but was pretty simple to figure out. I had a Podxt when I was doing the guitar thing, I now have a GT6B, which is ok for the some of the effects, and I like the way I can configure it, but I can't find a useable light overdrive in there, and the sound samples I have heard from B2 users has given me Major GAS for for the B9.1Ut. Another minus for the BOSS is is no line in, not even in the new 10B. the lower end model ME20 has a line in!!!!!!!!!! grrrrr
