At least for me the V1 was right from the get go. I haven't experienced any added mids. | I don't turn the drive on and off on the Titan, I use one channel for clean and the other for dirty. They get very different eqs. I like a pretty scooped dirty sound. |

The elements was a nice pedal, but ultimately to me sounded like it needed to be run into a dirty tweeterless amp to sound good, like most solid state distortions. The b3k is fantastic. I want another one or maybe a b7k. Best dirt pedal I've ever heard hands down. |

The only thing I'd change on it is the ability to tame the highs a tiny bit, standard passive tone control would do it, I'd use it like 5% down. And if the gain could go one notch lower for my active bass, that'd let me use it like a hifi sansamp, which it is great at. Right now there significant grit at the lowest gain setting.
Overall I think this and the maxon cp9pro+ are the best pedals ever made for bass. |

I'm sure the b3k is awesome, the demo's Ive heard sound outstanding. However I have a Verellen meatsmoke pre on the way and if it sounds anything like the demo's(and why wouldn't it) I feel that it might be superior to the darkglass overdrive, and really not that much more than the b7k, guess I'll have to wait and find out.

Can't wait to try it out! I currently am using a VT bass -> Agro
Good Luck!

I have high hopes for a W&C overdrive - his phat phuk pedal is quite magical |

I'm also looking forward to seeing what Wren and Cuff can do, I've found my combo of the W&C Phat Phuk, B3K, and W&C fuzzes (tall font, pickle pie b) are a killer combo!

That said, my current favorite is the Mesa/Boogie V-Twin preamp that I have. Not MY V-Twin, but the V-Twin, in general. Mine has a busted power supply, and I'm going to play with different tubes, but it is, otherwise, fantastic. Believe it or not, when I go for a pedal, I look for something that will work with both guitar and bass. The V-Twin on guitar is exactly the sound I've been trying to get since I was fifteen. On bass, it doesn't do the Bass 400, but it does something else. Something I really dig.

Got mine today and threw my other OD pedals on the dust shelf.
Like everyone has said in this forum numerous times, this pedal is the ducks nuts.
It is so warm and doesnt have that digital sounding thinness that other OD seem to have.
The ability to blend your tone as well.. MWAH.....
I love it, money well spent.
THANKS DOUGLAS!
-Jeff

Only had it a week... now I cant imagine not having it... I always thought I had a pretty awesome bass tone... this pedal proved me wrong!
It can be so subtle or just full on!
