used or new? vintage or current? if it's just an all around package i would say that probably the new line of ibanez pedals can be acquired fairly cheap and have good quality. if buying used, you can probably get luck and get a few for around 100 bucks.

Best pedal under $100 would be a Korg or Boss tuner. Anything else, you have a lot more research to do in the world of effects in order to ask a sensible (and answerable) question.

Pedal for what? Get an idea of what you want, then ask again...

On the other hand, it sounds like you're looking for a Multi-FX unit. A quick search on eBay turned up a couple of Zoom B2's (without the expression pedal) for under $100, or the Digitech BP50 (no expression) or BP80 (w/exp) also under $100.

The Korg Pitch Black is amazing. But if you're looking for something that makes noise, Digitech Bass Synth Wah gets you a lot of different sounds.

Kinda like this thread?

Are you after a multi? I guess yes as you said 'as many sounds as possible'... In that case perhaps a used POD or something? I don't think $100 leaves your options too open

I happen to like my dunlop 105q wah. They sell used for 50 bucks.
What I like about it is that it doesn't have a switch. I use it for tone control sometimes too. If I have a bass heavy funk tone going on, but a certain part of the song calls for something different with more bite, I just push it to the floor and hold it to get more high end.
