Where is the best place/website to buy effects pedals? Who has the best selection/prices?
I did do a search first, but couldn't find much.

Sweetwater is competitive on some pedals, i.e. Big Bass Muff is cheapest I found...I think you'll have to shop around to figure out best prices...if you're close to a box store, they will usually have good deals on used pedals. Sign up for mailings, like Guitar Center, they will send catalogs with 10% off coupons. You'll have to check which pedals the coupons will work on, though...Happy shopping!!!

New? I dunno. All the prices are usually the same online. Used? Check out the accessories classifieds here.

www.thevintagesound.com has customer assistance and fast shipping time like no other.

Every once in a while www.music123.com has "sales".

Different stores have different brands. I haven't found one "go to" store because the stuff I want is often exclusive to only a few distributors.

I shop where I can get what I want, for the most part.

Most of my pedals have come from The Perfect Bass. Sign up for their emails to get the discounts as well, plus they have a "talkbass" discount code you can use anytime.

If I'm not buying used, I usually go to eBay first. A lot of the dealers that sell there will take lower prices via "Best Offer" or by asking through email than other stores will. You can also usually get good deals by calling MF or Music123 and asking for a deal.

Saviour for us europeans that want boutique pedals: www.crushthebutton.be .

The more common pedals I get at my local music store. I rather support a local mom & pop store.

And what I can't get from the local store I order from www.thomann.de .

Online I've bought from:

ToneFactor
PedalGeek
MusicToyz
Analog Heaven
Custom-Sounds (for my Blueberry)
Sweetwater
Proguitarshop
Musician's Friend
The Perfect Bass
Studio 1525 (for vintage gear)
TB Classifieds
eBay

and probably a few others I'm forgetting. I've had good experiences with all of them. But my go-to places are the first two, mainly because I like the selection and the guys that own them.

+1. ive been to the store, i live about 20 minutes from there. every time i went the guy there was really nice, and has tons of nice stuff..

aside from just any online store (pedalgeek or otherwise) 99.9% of the time what you want will be on ebay for a fair price.

but, ALWAYS look on the TB classifieds first. best deals, by far IMO (and almost anything for sale there, you can get tons of info on if you do a search )

In Canada, Steve's Music is a great place for new pedals. They ship for free on orders $200 or more.

Pedalgeek and tonefactor are #1 on my list.

Heads up with musictoyz. Great selection but lots of people report issues with them listing stuff in stock that takes like 3-4 months to arrive so call ahead to make sure they have what you want if you buy from there. Call becuase their email support is terrible.
