I have an empty space in my rack. I want something basically for looks. Basically, I want light to respond to my playing. It may sound chessy, but I think it would be cool. Everyone in town has the tuners that do it. I'm just looking for something more original. Any suggestions |

Different color lights responding to different frequencies.
No idea how or where to find it now, though.
Try googling "light show". Good luck!

We would pull the grill cloth of the front of Fender heads (and some others (never an Ampeg ((they were sacred)) an install fogged plexiglass and a collor organ controler with twinkle lights.
Sometimes we would place the lights behind the grill cloth of a speaker cab ot the PA cabs.

Surely a shop could set one up to change brightness or color in response to a voltage swing of 0V to 1.5V or thereabouts (the output of your preamp). |

I'm going to get some dim red lights encased in fogged plexiglass to shine out of the back of the rack when sound is played and put the dj light in a rack slot. This is gonna be sweet. I'll post pics or a video once I get it all hooked up.

They also have some exotic wood rack panels that will go nicely with a coffee table bass. http://www.funklogic.com/palindrometer.htm |

the color organ link: http://www.hobbytron.com/rml1.html | I think i am going to do the same!
I have been looking for a 1u LED bar like that for a while (not very hard!) I never thought to look at DJ supplies!
I also like that color organ--a few years ago my dad told me about a friend of his who made one himself and hooked it up to a cassette player (long ago) and it was cool--i kept my eye open but could never find it. |

Or perhaps a no name RTA: http://cgi.ebay.com/RTA-Real-Time-An...QQcmdZViewItem
