Best settings for Summit Audio TLA-50

Hello All
I recently was given a Summit Audio TLA50 compressor for my bday. It is a great little piece and I know it gets a Lot of love here on TB. I haven't used a compressor in my chain before since adhere to the simplicity principle. I do own and love a Summit TD100 pre as well and I run that directly into the effects return of my LMII and that has given me Really good results so my question to you guys is: what have you found to work best with your TLA50s as far as settings and how you hook them up and where in the signal chain.

I run my TRB6 (older model) flat directly into the TD100 with the tube gain turned up all the way and that has been a great sound so I would like to know how I can keep that and improve on it.

Thanks in advance and any input at all will be welcome as I am new to the compressor game and from what I have read this Summit compressor can do amazing things and I would like to maximize it capabilities. Thank You

Thank you for your response. I have read extensively on how to operate a compressor--including your page stuff and while it is all great info and very useful my post was more for people who own and like the TLA50 and what their fav settings were. I currently have it setup in a way that works very nicely for my purposes but was just looking for other opinions that mite serve as a launching pad for something better or different that I mite not have discovered on my own. Thanks for your response and hoping to hear from people who actually use it currently or have had a lot of experience with it.
