Best single-space rackmount compressors?

Before the end of the year, I'll be in the market for a high-quality single-rackspace, single-channel compressor for a new live rig I'm developing. Am open to and and all suggestions.

Looking for units with a form factor of 10 inches deep or shallower, since I'll be using an SKB shallow X-rack. Budget limit would be about $250.

I went with a used Rane DC24. Seemed consistently well reviewed. Only downside is the proprietary external brick/power adapter which cost $25-$35 if you lose yours or if you buy one that doesn't come with it.

Jeez I hate it when folks don't include important caveats in their initial thread titles. Would it have been that hard to write ""Best 1-space rackmount compressor for under $250" ? Then all the folks who have an opinion on the best single-space rackmount compressors that happen to cost more than $250 would know not to bother reading this thread to offer up their input.
