Best/Smallest Y Splitter?

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to be able to split my signal and send one output to my effects chain and one output to a key in trigger on a filter but I don't want to do it passively and lose signal. Any recommendations? I could get the Radial but if I picked up BSW, I'd have a smaller box and a good digital octaver for when I needed that sort of thing.

I've always split passively for that. Do a test where you plug one end of the cable into your trigger input and then plug it and unplug it into your slpitter while playing and see if you can tell the difference. I don't, at least not with the Warp 9's trigger input.

I have a Y splitter somewhere and I'll look for it. I'm not really an analog snob per se so I might actually get a lot of use out of a wet octaver with a different character to it. Is there a downside to splitting with the BSW?

I've also done it passively with a Wooly Mammoth and WMD Fatman, and noticed no degradation in sound. I used a jack splitter adaptor on the input of the Wooly Mammoth; bass goes in one socket and a patch cable in the other socket for the filter's key input.

No downside if you've got the money, the space, and a spot on your power dasiy chain.

Boss TU-2? Also doubles as a tuner.
