I had been looking for a good bass for years with no luck. Muff, Digitech, guitar fuzzes, i went through them all. all of them just dident seem right. either the low end or the high end would be droned out or the sustain would be 2 thin. so i did alot of experemental trial and error about what i wanted and eventully built my own bass fuzz. it is the most beutiful sounding fuzz ever! so note of advice: If you cant find one thats perfect, build your own! its not as hard as you think

suprised you like your own build..most first trys dont turn out that nice.

did you make a clone of another pedal or you designed it all yourself?

Did you 'roll your own' or is it a kit of another pedal anyway?

If you rolled your own, was it based on anything or did you just come up with a basic schematic idea and start plugging components into a breadboard and experiment?

EDIT: noticed you said experimental trial and error.. Also, while its relatively easy to get a fuzz happening to possibly meet your needs, building a pedal for modulation is a lot more complicated. I don't think you would satisfy all your needs by building very easily
