Best songs for looping

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a few (so far) great tunes to loop and jam the melody over top of it. I am using the BP-355s looper. It is limited in comparision with, say, the JamMan, but a with a great bassline oriented song, you can rock out.

Here are some of my faves:

Chameleon
Shake your body to the ground- M Jackson (cool groove)
With or without you
Demolition Man
I wish
Axle F- Yes, the quirky keyboard tune from Beverly Hills Cop. Tell you what, learn the melody and bassline, total coolness.

These are all I can think of at the time (just got home from work and my brain is mush). If there are any other cool suggestions I would love to hear them.

Thanks

Not really answering your question, but my favorite thing to do with loopers is add percussive sounds with my bass and groove over those

Jungle Boogie can be a fun one to loop and layer. Cissy Strut somewhat (too many loops and it's overkill on that one). Billie Jean could work.

Ah yeah! Billie Jean is a great one. Got to work on that one.

DT...I like doing the percussive thing as well.

Hey..another good one just came to mind. Swingtown by Steve Miller. Actually going to go work on that right now.

I just picked up one of the DigiTech stereo loop pedals. Haven't really got into the nitty-gritty of trying to create loops yet but man, what a great practice tool to have!

This past weekend I recorded a few chord progressions that I was trying to get more familiar with, looped it and had a blast! Never realized how great of a great tool for practicing they can be.

I know, old news for some but all new for me.
