Adam | Between those two, the PitchBlack (PB) is going to give you more accurate tuning (+/- 1 cent vs. TU-2 @ +/- 3 cents) although a difference of 2 cents may or may not even be noticeable. The TU-2 on the other hand will also act as a buffer which is great if you have a long effects signal chain or use a very long cable to connect to your amp (generally speaking, the longer a cable run is, including TBP pedals, the more highs are rolled off. A buffer will prevent this by changing the impedance of the signal and boosting it back up to unity level). It's a trade off either way, but if it were me, I would probably be getting a PB between those two. If you spent a little more money, you could get a Sonic Research Turbo Tuner which is accurate to +/- .02 cents and has very fast tracking. You'd just need to get someone who lives in the states to purchase it for you and then ship it over to you. I'm not certain if they will do international orders, but you could always ask them. |

It was a great tuner, but the Turbo Tuner completely killed it since it is so much cheaper and more accurate, not to mention smaller. |

Thank you VERY much! | Just doing my duty. GAS is a terrible thing though. Once you've smelt it, the want/need won't quit. |

| | | | TU-2 is difficult to read in moderately bright light. Impossible in bright/outdoor lighting situations (or with red light on it). Petersons freak some people out. They can't understand up=sharp, down=flat, steady=in tune. Haven't tried the PB yet but I'm leaning towards either that or the SR 200 for my next tuner |

What's the best pedal for low tunings? | Without a doubt, the Turbo Tuner mentioned above. I've NEVER seen a tuner lock on more quickly, reliably and accurately. |

There really is nothing else in its class, based on accuracy, bypass transparency, size, price, tracking. It literally has made IMO every other tuner obsolete, unless you are on a very restricted budget. |

But after viewing some, very informative (and one quite funny), youtube demo vids, realized it always mutes the signal when 'ON'. I actually prefer a pedal tuner to place on my pedalboard that stays active while 'ON' and does not mute the signal for me.
Has to offer a good colored/bright backlight, large letter LED and can utilize One Spot power source. Any pedal tuners, reasonably priced, that will function in this way? Otherwise, I'll just keep using my bright, blue LED Fender rack tuner. |

Try the LU-20 from Ibanez. Half the price of a pitchblack, heavy solid construction, super accurate, fairly easy to read, works with the low B perfectly.
