Best Versatile DI Box

Hey everybody,

I'm primarily a guitarist but I also play bass, especially recording at home, but occasionally jamming with friends. I've been using a Fender Bronco 40 because I was pretty fresh to bass and liked the options for finding sounds I liked. Now I'm pretty much set on what I'm looking for, but the Bronco 40 isn't the best solution for me, anymore. I don't have room for a bass amp. I will need to switch for a DI box (luckily the friend I jam with has a nice PA that he says I can run a DI into when I come to jam. I've been considering an EDEN WTDI, but I don't have a lot of experience - hoping you guys would share your opinions with me to help me make an informed decision?

What do you want out of a DI box? Do you need basic functionality, or are you a tone-tweaker type, and perhaps need more than simple? What sort of tone control is on the PA? What is your budget? More information is needed, to arrive at the best conclusion.
