Best way to get this funky bass sound.

At first I thought it was keyboard, but as the song goes on it's definitely bass guitar. Some synth type pedal? I don't hear any octaving going on.

It's a keyboard doubling the bass line. I hear the sounds as separate tracks.

does sound like a synth. but i wouldent use a synth pedal for that, to be honest.

youd probobly get close with the right envelope filter + some kind of dirt.

That's definitely a synth with the bass...hmmm, I'll second the envelope filter, but you might just have to go test pedals out until you find the right one.

What they said. ^ Keys doubling.

I think I would use distortion and a wah (not envelope filter) to get a similar sound.

But with a regular wah you set the filtered freq. yourself, whereas with the envelope filter it will react dynamically to your signal. Try both, see which gets you closer.
