Is there anything that the BF-2 Flanger has that the BF-3 Flanger doesn't?

Good tone?

I've never actually tried the BF-3, but did pick up a BF-2 based on comments here. It wasn't for me, but the general assessment seems to be that the BF-2 sounds better than the BF-3. I couldn't tell you for sure.

I've owned a BF-2, and it is a great pedal. very versatile and natural, good bass response too. I've had a quick go with the BF-3 and wasn't nearly as impressed. It did the job, but didn't have the "wow" factor of the BF-2.

I picked up a BF2 and a BF2B recently and was not impressed with either, kind of cheesy imo. The polychorus flange blows it away.

The BF-2 sounds much, much better than the BF-3 (I have both). The BF-2 is definitely one of my favorite flangers.

The BF-3 has some cool tricks it can do (tap tempo, tremolo, stereo out, etc), but it really doesn't sound nearly as nice as the BF-2.

doesnt the 3 have a gated mode too? i tried one a long while ago it was cool when you plug into the gtr input. the bass input is too subtle for me.
