Talking Big Ebay Score!

I just landed a Beigel Sound Labs Envelope Controlled Filter! It's like a Mutron III is a rackmount casing but with an expanded control scheme like the Meatball. It was developed by the guy who designed the Musitronics stuff for the guitar player in Steely Dan in 1979 to be a true studio quality device. He only wound up making about 50 of them. I'm really exited because it has full attack/decay controls, start and stop frequency for the filter, resonance, and an effects loop. Hooray!

I don't really know how to post any pics over the 32kb attachment. He maintains a website on the device with good photos and a couple of interesting articles. The site is at http://www.beigelsoundlab.com/

This sucker's scheduled to arrive today. I'll be sure to share my thoughts on it. I have very high expectations for this one. I think my little brother has a digital camera and I'll try to figure out a way to get some clips up.

I think I saw it as well, but didn't knew what it is. What was the price?

Lets just say that its more than I was hoping to spend, but less than I was willing to spend. If you really want to know you can search the name under completed listings. I'm probably going to try to send it in to Mike Beigel in a couple months for calibration and routine maintanence. I'm also hoping that he could change the 10V control voltage out into 2 5V outs. Most of the CV equipment I see seems to use 5V.

Its here! Its a little tricky to dial in but I've already stumbled across some cool sounds. It sounds like a Mutron III but the envelope controls and the Resonance can give it a much wider range. Now I've just got to spend some time learning to dial it in...

Congrats on snagging a cool piece of history and sound. I used to work in s studio that had one and loved the sounds I could get out of it.
