I had a hard time using the Grannypuker on bass.
Once I had fiddled it to a good setting it was an awesome synthy fuzz/distortion.
But, I don't like to use distortion/fuzz on bass anyway in my band (not really a band, guys jamming togheter).
My guitarist is using the Grannypuker now, as his only distortion.
It is sublime on guitar.
For bass I really like the Hairy Balls. More a "wet" fuzz, not as harsh. The gate control is useful if you play fast metal riffs.
I use the Hairy Balls now only for some Motorhead covers. I don't sound like Lemmy... because off course his fuzz was a Marshall guitaramp... but who cares.

It sounds awesome.
