Big muff

I need a distortion pedal for a new song we're doing in my band and it would sound good in some of our other songs. definitely not gonna be using it full time as I'm usually just going through a tuner pedal then straight into my amp with no effects.

Anyone have experience with these? I'm fairly good at messing with dials and whatnot to find useful tones. They don't carry them at any GC's in my area and there doesn't seem to be any on the local CL, so I have to trust the TB community for opinions. I can always just return it for a refund but I don't wanna waste a bunch of time:P

The band i'm in is a rock/ metal/ funk/ fusion/ punk/ pop/ a little bit of everything (very interesting a diverse group of musicians the local crowd and venues we play at love us, so we're assuming that the unique sound and array of styles works well)

I use one on my board. It's a good solid fuzz pedal with a cool feature of being able to mix in your dry signal. A lot of people say it's a great "intro to fuzz". I agree, it's a great place to start and pretty inexpensive. I say go for it!

You really should do a search, OP, this topic has been beaten to death more times than you can shake a stick at (a dead horse). The BBM is decent but IMO there are other pedals out there that do what it does better and with more flexibility. Again, do a search and you'll find em all.

it's good if you do not want to spend too much, either that or you are the type of person who is not a fan of fuzz/distortion even when you are hearing a good one.

personally, i don't like it - but then again, i always love hearing "good" stuff... im pretty lenient with a chorus or phaser though

I have a question regarding fuzz, though I don't mean to derail the OP.

I've been using the US Big Muff, (designed for guitar). Now I know that it's not voiced for bass but it was a starting point for me for fuzz.

I'm also looking to buy a BBM, the blend function appeals to me. My question is what other fuzz pedal besides the BBM and the T-Rex fuzz offer the blend option?
