Big Muff go kaput...

So my black Russian Big Muff Pi got dropped at a gig and no longer works...the sadness in my heart is extreme. But it only cost me 20 dollars, American so it's not really worth getting fixed. It'll cost at least 25 to get someone to even look at it.

I play bass for what's been called "garage blues soul rock". You can check out our FB page if ya like.

I rarely use the fuzz as I love the sound of my American P-Bass just the way it is, but we do a couple Black Keys covers and sometimes ya just gotta mix it up, right?

Anyway, wondering what might be a good, cheap replacement. Any suggestions? I love talkbass.net!

I have a BYOC Large Beaver for sale in the classifieds.

I'd suggest saving up and getting the Big Muff Pi for bass. I picked up one after my Russian starting acting weird, and I'm very happy with it.

I A/B'd the two pedals, and it was shocking how much low end the Russian rolled off when it was in the chain but not in use. The bass version has a true bypass and keeps the tone intact. As a big plus, it also has the ability to blend the effect and dry signals.
