Big Muff Modification?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey,

I played a Russian Big Muff by Electro Harmonix today. I liked it a lot and was going to buy it but i didnt because it could only be ran by a 9V battery.
I was wondering if anyones tryed installing a DC in onto an effects pedal and how youd go about doing it?

Cheers,

Tom

The easiest way is to use a 1spot or similar power supply with a battery clip adapter. Just plug the barrel end of the adapter into the power supply and clip the other end to the battery clip of the pedal. This requires no mod to the pedal. Link and pic below.

you could use this thing and just dig a small hole in the pedal

Go to www.generalguitargadgets.com, look in the kits section, pull up BMP and look at how he has the BMPs wired for DC power. It requires unsoldering and drilling a hole to fir the power jack.
20 minutes of work in total.
