bass bigmuff will probably sound better but if you try the reg muff and like it jus stick with that.

In my experience, every model of the muffs sound different than the others. The Russian Green ones are great on bass, but really expensive. You can get the Russian Black ones pretty cheap, sometimes and they sound really good. Not as bass responsive as the bass muffs, but I like them better, in ways. I would change out the wiring, pots, put in true bypass, and you have a really nice pedal. The NYC big muffs are probably my least favorite on bass. I like the NYC bass big muffs on bass, cause they do handle low bass quite nicely. Ideally, I would go with both a bass big muff and a russian one.

I have played my Russian Big Muff inline with a Bass Big Muff. The bass Big Muff comes close, but its not a Russian Muff.

Old Green Russian Muff > All others.

I have Vintage Big Muff USA, AWESOME sound.
I had the modern Big Muff and i didn't like it so much.
Bass Big Muff is better than the modern Big Muff, but Vintage Big Muff is the best Big Muff i have ever heard.
