Billy Sheehan soud in solo

I was listing to the "new" Billy Sheehan CD the other day and picked out a sound he used on his bass solo when with Talas. It sounds like a mix of synth and bass.... any one have an idea on how he gets it? It is on th Talas Years CD in the live section, almost to the end of his solo. The song on Holy Cow that he uses it towards the end is Just another Humanoid.... I think

Check out this video at about the 5 minute mark. There is a keyboard hooked up to his system (midi controler for a harmonizer?).
