Biyang FL-8 Flanger? Anyone tried, heard, seen this one?

That's what I thought too....and at $39 seems like it couldn't use anything but sub-par components.

I think I recall seeing one or two posts about other Biyang models somebody had tried, where they complained about it being flimsy in construction. I can't remember the details right now though. I should try out their comp just to know for sure.
