blank boss boxes

Does anyone know where I can get some blank (no holes drilled) boss enclosures?

I've never seen any smaller builders use them, I've always assumed they are made for Boss/digitech more or less exclusively.

These aren't the exactly the same as a boss enclosure, but its as close as I could find.

Yeah, nobody has the nifty little hinged pedal I want.

I don't want to have to scavange from old pedals and deal with the pre drilled holes.

I'm also after the awesome battery access boss pedals afford.
Edit: now I see the small bear box has a battery access. This is promising.

Thanks for the Small Bear link.

I think you'll find that the boss and digitech designs are probably patented - so it's not likely you'll find a third party blank.

You could possibly look for and old beaten up model in a pawn shop, gut it, paint it, and use that. Ebay, sometimes throws up some cheap non-working pedals that might make a good doner.

This is the only hinged-type pedal enclosure I've been able to find. They're not too expensive at about 8 bucks apiece and already powdercoated, but shipping from an international wholesaler means a minimum order of fifty. Maybe you could put together a group buy.

Wow, that looks the identical to the Chord brand of pedals.... that's why they're so cheap!
