something like this?
Morley FX Blender Pedal http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Morley-FX-Bl...3A1%7C294%3A50
anything else out there?
im looking for something that keeps my dry signal intact and adds on the 'wet' signal on the top. e.g if full, it makes it 100%-100% instead of 50%-50% or 0%-100%
looking to finalise my setup (how many times have you heard that!)
and wanting something like this would be a plus! |

The only way of doing what you're thinking of is splitting your chain in 2 and using a volume pedal on the effects chain.
Again, I might be wrong, but I'm sure others will chime in.

Just leave loop A empty, and put your pedals in loop B, and use the A + B/bypass mode. I've never tried it myself, and I have heard people say that the Barge does give a volume drop when at a 50/50 mix. |

you can order it with phase inversion and expression pedal input options. excellent quality. i had it before and i didn't notice any volume drop. volume of course is subject to the volume of the input signals.
it only does dry blend, but since that is what you're looking for it should be perfect.

I've heard several people say that when you have a Barge at about 50% wet, there is a drop in volume. Maybe not overall volume, but the OP said that he wants the dry signal volume to remain at 100% no matter the blend amount, and I'm sure I've heard people say the Barge didn't work that way. |

hear me say it "when you have a Barge at about 50% wet, there is a drop in volume." |

i was under the impression that at 50% wet the OVERALL volume would drop, which wouldn't make sense. my bad
on a side note, when i had it i used it with my fuzz, and i always boosted the volume of the fuzz. for example, i would increase the volume of the fuzz such that i would get the same volume of wet at say 30% wet, as i would otherwise have gotten without the volume boost at 50% wet. that way, i would be getting the same amount of wet at 70/30 as i would at 50/50, with the only difference being the dry would appear to be relatively louder in the former case.
but of course, many kinds of effects don't have a volume control |

Again, I might be wrong, but I'm sure others will chime in. | this is probably the easiest and cheapest way of doing this. just get a mini-mixer or something to recombine the signals. |

Have you looked into the Wounded Paw blender? He can throw it in an expression pedal. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
