Blender and Compressor board placement

Where do I want to place my EBS Multi-Comp? I previously ran the compressor after my POG and Maxon AF-9 in an effects loop out of a Boss NS-2. I picked up the Barge Concepts VFB-2 recently and I assume It's not optimal to run the compressor with the blend in the loop. So put the EBS before or after the Barge?

will be adding a fuzz & OD before the POG eventually. Also, would anyone recommend any other effects placement?

It's actually fine to try blending the compressor- sometimes it works out well, sometimes it doesn't, depending on the specific other gear used and what "qualities" you want from the compression.

If blending it doesn't work out for your particular case, then try both ways, before and after the Barge, it's all up to personal preference. Me, I'd probably put it after, to handle the AF9's peaks.
