rather than do my usual recording trick of running the VT Bass pedal in line i thought i'd replace it with the Coffin Case Blood Drive overdrive pedal to give me clunky gain in my tone.
so i did a full song with it. a while back someone asked me if i could review the Blood Drive, and i havent done that yet but i figured putting up the bass and drum tracks might help some people in knowing what to expect from it..
hey there
it's a jazz bass, both pickups full up into a Guyatone compressor,
into the blood drive, filth:gain control near to zero so that it's less of a fuzz but more of a tone shaper, bleed:tone control at around 1.5 o'clock (retains low end a bit but still has bite imo) and inject:volume control wherever you like i guess.
this into an amp set relitively clean. tube is cool cos you can use the volume on the BD to push it.
i gave it a boost around 100hz also.
thanks guys.
it's not a bass pedal but i bought it thinking it'd be pretty multipurpose.
thanks for the approval Jimmy.
interesting you thought it was a P. now you mention it i see how you mean.
might have slightly more twang than a precision would normaly.
