Blowtorch, Bassdrive, etc. How extreme can they go?

So I've heard countless samples of these types of pedals with mild overdrive. Mind you I like what I hear but I need to hear samples of what they can do at full roar. Can anyone supply me with some samples?

I've done samples for the Bass-Drive, including one with maxed gain and boost. Should turn up with a search.

Blowtorch... mild overdrive?

It doesn't do OD, but I get what you mean.

Hmm...

When we record my basslines for a few songs, I'll be able to demonstrate to you what a Blowtorch can do at high gain. It's nowhere near as high-gain or "crazy" as a cranked Big Muff, but it's still unmistakably heavy.

Bass-Drive with lots of gain

Does the mild thing much better than the wild thing.

The Blowtorch gets heavy and crunchy but never gets out of control, it's very tight and defined. The boost on the Bass-Drive ... the word I use to describe it is dirty. And I don't mean that in the "levels of dirt" kinda way ... I just mean it just feels dirty.

Heavy and crunchy, but not out of control. I like that description.

Sound clips anyone? Seems like a lot of people here like a lil dirt or some overdrive. I wanna here some GAINNNN out of these. Preferably in a drop tuning, DADG, CGCF????

Here is a quick sample of a Visual Sound Jeckyll & Hyde on full tilt. Assuming you recognize the bass line, you know it's in drop D. And if you don't recognize it...it's still in drop D.

I'm assuming this is on the Hyde part?

Oh I didn't know you could use both at once. Do you know what the hyde part is based on, I know the jeckyll is ts-based.

I'm doing a YouTube video review of the Blowtorch tonight (so long as I don't fall asleep early). I'll post it when done. At its craziest, it's still a very musical pedal- it doesn't turn crazy noise box.

No idea, really--Visual Sound has never called out what it is based on (if anything).

Hmmm...I kinda like that Jeckyll and Hyde. Thanks for the clip. I like it cuz it seems to retain the low, is not to fuzzy, and isn't to clanky as well.

I'll be looking out for the Youtube video.....have some coffee.

It won't be until later tonight (11-1am eastern) after my daughter's in bed. And I don't drink coffee, but I'll load up on pretzels and cheese
