Blowtorch vs. Attack Goat?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I've listened to every sound clip I could find and I really like the sound of both of these pedals. The main difference I can tell from the clips is that it appears that the Blowtorch using the blend and midshift has the ability to offer a very clean low fundamental for say a low D or E while still fuzzing the heck out of the higher harmonics, whereas the attack goat fuzzes more of the lower frequencies, but not so much that you lose low end. Does that sound accurate? I've sort of narrowed down my fuzz choice to these two and it seems like I like the sound of the Goat better over all, but the blowtorch seems maybe more versatile?
Anyone have personal experience with both?

Oh also I've heard some folks who weren't happy with the way the blowtorch played with their active bass(es). Is this a common complaint? Attack Goat plays nicer?

Wounded Paw - Attack Goat Bass Fuzz

Clip #3 (of the Attack Goat) has me sold in all honesty, at least for what I want it to do.

Just got my attack goat in the mail today. Excellent fuzz! Have only played it through a passive bass, but I'll try it out with an active bass shortly.

This an old thread I know but I've been looking through threads about the AG and the above question was never really answered... if anyone's still wondering, I use the AG with a couple actives (G&L L2000, Stingray) and it works great.

It's my favorite dirt pedal ever right now, and I've had lots. It's a fantastic pedal that doesn't sound like every other dirt pedal out there.
