I never tried the SC, but the Bluebeard is like a really great old school muff, but without the low end loss and the addition of usable frequencies on the tone knob.

Oh, so the only reason people sell them for 300$ is because of the wait. Gotcha.
The supercollider doesn't loose any low end but I can't compare it to the Bluebeard since I never tried one. The supercollider is very tweakable and has a nice growling after taste.
I've had both. They are nice muff clones. I think the SC is a little nicer build quality, a little more flexible, and a little easier to lay hands on. The bluebeard had just a little more... sparkle/harmonic content in my recall.
My experience with the GGG-tuned Muff (which we found nearly identical to the Bluebeard in another thread), is that it does lose some low end. A swap of a capacitor and resistor in the tone stack helps retain the lows better.

LONG story short: The Blue Beard PCB board was built by JD Sleep over @ General Guitar Gadgets. Sonny Simpson of Sanford and Sonny hired some people to build batches of the Blue Beard. It is almost identical to the regular GGG-tuned version of the Big Muff Pi kits that General Guitar Gadgets sells.
Do some searching on the forum. There have been a couple threads about the pedal.
You'll have more ability to finetune a sound on the SC over the BB, plus a nicer silkscreen over no paint...
