Hey, I ordered this pedal in March from Custom Sounds in Helsinki, Finland and today it finally arrived!
I'll post some clips if you get interested.
Played for half an hour with it today and liked very much. Nice subtle drive, very dynamic, lots of low end, smooth highs… When cranked it gets a little farty in my opinion.
Anyway, I love it, think it will be a perfect match for my GK2000RB and my Hartke Kickback.
Got a little disappointed to see that it came on an unfinished metal enclosure… Overall finishing quality is pretty rough for a 250€ pedal!
I really don't care as long it sounds good but some other costumers could see it as a big flaw.
Little bear… (my girlfriend love it)
Number 83 (in 2010)

It's part of the mojo of the pedal. |

The third sample clip listed above has a bit of compression. Too much for my liking.

Also indicates this is number 83 and probably one of the last, if not THE last one to be made. So, the total run will be about 83.
Looks like a one-off. Don't be too disappointed, as mentioned above BJ's one-off's command a premium in the market. Also, you don't have to worry about the paint coming off....these pedals are notorious for that.
You can probably get the story on the pedal from BJ himself if you post an inquiry on BJFE.org.
Nice pedal, hold on to it! It's a beauty!

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Rio | | It was 250€, about U$330. Yeah, a bit expensive for an apparently simple overdrive pedal. Of course there are some other nice options around and I'll maybe try some of them. After all we have only one life to live!
Anyway, I ordered it in march and after a long wait and many email exchanges it arrived.
They said at CS that Bjorn is not making this model anymore and don't know why they let me place the order.
I've been searching for a very long time for a low drive pedal to add some grit to my gear. It's a really dark sounding pedal but it is also very defined.
It's amazing how you can change the way it sounds just by the way you hit the strings. Also the tone knob has some really wide possibilities.
Did some clips.
I haven't much time to work with this pedal so...
I tried three different basses, a J with Nordstrand singles in passive mode, a P with flatwounds and NP4 pickup, and another P with rounds and a QuarterPound
I'll post some other clips with different instrument, but that's it for now.
I'd love if you could give me some feedback ok?

I do have some nice fuzz pedals but honestly don't use them very often. I'd rather get a nice subtle overdrive. Even at that price range. Life is to short, you know?
But anyway go for it! I'd love to hear some clips.
