I'm looking for the heaviest, most absolutely deep, bonecrushingly fuzzy fuzz I can find.
I have an EHX Bass Big Muff Pi, but I find it has just a bit too much high end crackle for my taste, no matter where I set the tune knob (or whatever it's referred to as, I can't remember off hand).
I'd like something with more overall warmth, less brittle edge to the high end, and fuzz out the wazoo... something that'll make the front row void their bowels when I turn it on.
I'm not opposed to trying to build something off GGG or BYOC either...
Any suggestions?

I'd like something fuzzy, very warm, not too much gnarly high end snarl, and yet sounds like it's going to destroy itself when I turn it on.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far! I'll look a little deeper in the S&S Bluebeard, Bassweet, and Blowtorch.

Might be a fun project... how difficult is the build for someone who's never done one before?

The Prunes&Custard tends to be BONEKRUSHING but not as fuzzy as the others |

The Tentacle Love Superfuzz is pretty harsh, and dare I say 'bonekrushing'. |

My usual settings are fuzz level around 8:30-9:00, bass level at 12:00, and sensitivity between 8:00-12:00. If you take the fuzz level up more you can destroy worlds. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
