Boos PSA Adapter - how to power multiple pedals?

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got in a Boss PSA Adapter to power my Boss OC-2. Some sources claim this adapter can power more pedals. I also use a Sonic Research ST-200 (stomp box tuner). The adapter of course has only one DC out.

Question: What is the best way to wire multiple pedals?

My suggestion would be to get a 1 Spot with daisy chain. It'll handle about twice as much current.

Though, you can just get the daisy chain and attach it to your Boss PSA. It sounds like you don't need the current anyways.

True, but, only a couple of Boss pedals have the inputs and outputs to power themselves and several others as well. I think the Boss Tuner TU2 & 3 is one of them as is the NS-2 Noise Reduction pedal and perhaps their LS-2 Line Selector pedal. Anybody out there know any others? Bottom line, you must have one of these specific Boss pedals to make this work.

Lots of ways to power pedals. Do a search here first and come back with any specific questions.

Technically, those particular Boss pedals don't power anything at all--they just have an output jack that's daisy-chained off their DC input jack, and really its only purpose is for use with male-to-male daisy chain cables. So if you have a male-to-male daisy chain, then you can connect it via those pedals. But if you have a female-to-male daisy chain cable, like the kind sold by Godlyke, 1spot, etc., then you don't need those Boss pedals.

So the cheapest and most effective thing is to buy one of those female-male daisy chains from one of the common brands.
