Bootsy Collins Wah-Fuzz

Anyone else have a problem with the ridiculous amount of fuzz this thing puts out...I keep on clipping even when I have the "IntenseCity" very low. Is the level on my amp too high? Does that have anything to do with it?

I've never heard the Jim Dunlop bass wah is it better than the bootsy?

While I like the sound of the Bootzilla it is a piece of crap. have you turned the level down on the fuzz? I do love the wah sound these things make. I hope yours doesn't break after 2 months like mined did. Good luck mang.

You have to keep the fuzz volume low, like less than a third up(quarter even), there's a lot of power in it.

Duct tape and bailing wire are the first things you need with the Snarling Dogs pedals....Every one I've had either arrived broken or fell apart soon afterwards.

I think you can request a schematic from snarling dog, just say its broke and your a tech. Give them the serial number and they might send you a pdf.

I own a Mold Spore and a Bootzilla and they have both held up much better than I was warned about. I don't much like the switches mounted on the side though.

Is the Bootzilla a piece of crap because it doesn't do subtle fuzz? Dude, look at the thing - does it look like it's supposed to be subtle?

It's not the greatest wah in the world to be sure but the fuzzes are pretty good IMO - that's a matter of taste to be sure, but they sure don't suck bottom end!

It's obviously aimed at student bassists who don't own many effects, and for them it is ideal: A hundred bucks gets a glitter purple fuzz wah for playing over the top a-la latter day Bootsy. What did you expect?
