1) Yes the cyber psychic... is quite strange.
2) The brown dog, decent fuzz... bad name.
3) Dirty Bomb, great angry pedal... bad name
4) Cream Pie, 1 trick... but its a pretty good trick.
5) Prometheus... I'm scared of it.

I'm bored too.

What do you think of the Prometheus?

I thought it was a lot of fun though the filter wasn't exactly to my tastes and the "Sample & Hold" wasn't what I expected at all, though still very cool.

I'm also interested to hear your impressions of the Brown Dog. I only played with it in store, but it's the same fuzz circuit as in the OS which I liked a lot. If my soon-to-arrive OLC Chunky Cheese doesn't do the job, I'm seriously considering a Brown Dog for my bassy, gated fuzz that will work with actives.

I have no idea what the Cyber Psychic is.

I've spent about 10 minutes with the Prometheus, it came the other day as a birthday present. I want read the manual and then muck with it some more. I don't even have a judgement other than the switches make very little sense to me off-hand.

Brown Dog is good, but it has a sound. There is no tone knob, so it's just how much, percentage of clean added to drive, and how much gate to add to that drive.

I just got a prometheus in a trade, it should be here next week or so. Looking forward to it.

Are you going to get a agent funk mk II to link with the brown dog?

I should... that might make a fun double review.

Wow. The Cyber Psychic is a crazy little thing.

My take on the Brown Dog was that in some ways it was versatile and in some ways it wasn't. You could get just a little fuzz around the edges for that Curtis Mayfield style tone or crank it for that Beastie Boy's Sabotage sound. But you're right, the fuzz always has that same "character" to it.

I tried them (it and the 00Funk) before OS was announced and if the Brown Dog had a tone knob I would have bought it that day. I thought the blend on it worked better than the vast majority of fuzzes and it has a great gated sound.

Maybe it says something about me, but I always liked the name Brown Dog. And the color scheme.

Hey Grygrx,
I live in KC and I know you live in Columbia I was inspired by the NYC pedal get together, but I know there is not enough folks in KC to make a group. Columbia is a split between KC and STL though. I think 2 hours each way. We could probably get a room at the Mizzou campus. I would be willing to drive two hours on a weekend. Do you know any other FX nuts in the KC, STL, Columbia Missouri area that are crazy enough to drive a couple hours to play FX?
