Boss '59 Bassman Pedal

Anyone ever use one of these?

I've played through some bassman amps, mostly 70s stuff, in guitar stores, and I've always totally loved the tone. Just can't get any practical volume.

Has anyone ever tried these for bass?

What happened originally....Fender made this Bassman in '59 but the problem was that is stunk on bass but sounded amazing through a guitar. Hence the pedal. So i havent heard of bass players buying this pedal.

I tried this pedal out in a shop. Don't waste your time, it has 0 low end. A guitar player I jam with has a real 59 Bassman reissue and it sounds great for bass at low volume.
